Worth much more than the grain.

I'd like to see some numbers to support that.

Even if you avg six 600 lb bales to the acre from a 80-90 bu wheat crop at $.035/lb in the row, that's still "only" revenue of $126/acre from the straw. For goodness sakes I hope the grain is worth more.
.[/QUOTE wheat yields are usually a bushel equals a bale. 60 bushel. 60 bales. Straw bales are $5.50 here. You do the math. Had rye straw this spring cut at pollination do 150 bales at 5.50 per bale. That is money. And the ground is growing and average crop of corn now
