We sell straw out of the field in 3x3 square bales for 100 a ton. At 3600 lbs an acre thats 180 an acre. I'd say that's fair income.
No denying that's an outrageously good price. But to say that it's worth "much more than the grain", you'd also need to tell us what the wheat grossed/acre.
