If he spends a couple hundred for permits he is even closer to breakeven on having it hauled by a professional. As I said earlier, the only way this really makes any sense is if he and his dad are looking for something to do together. If he does it correctly and stops for meals or even spends a night in a motel he is not going to save any money.
