Subject: RE: ag bag slab? concrete or gravel?

Northwest Iowa
Where are you located? Do you get a lot of freeze/thaw cycles? What is your soil type? Drainage? On a hill or in the valley? What type of equipment will be used for load out? Skidloader, MFWA tractor, or scoop shovel? Here, many just lay them out on a well drained area and hope for the best. If you leave ruts when getting feed, level them off right away or they are frozen cliffs the next morning. Asphalt, concrete, gravel, limestone, or any firm surface can work.
