When can you justify going from a 16 row planter to a 24 row.

NE SD
I am in NE SD and if your weather is anything like here it seems each spring has been harder and harder to get the corn planted. We get 2 days planting and then it turns wet/cold and it stays that way for 10 days to 2 weeks and then we have 2 days of planting then its starts all over again.
That being said there have been several times I had wished I did not have as much corn in the ground as I did when those cold wet rains come the night after you planted. I would say for 2500 acres that you can for sure have a 24row.
