So, as a practical matter, should I run the vacuum fans or hydraulic drive from power beyond? Or hook markers to raise and lower and run both vacuum and hydraulic drive with SCVs? Or am I reading between the lines and it doesn't matter. The highest pressure demand will set the pressure in the system?

I would run the hydraulic drive on the SCV.

The highest pressure demand will set the pressure of the system, but the important thing to remember here is if you hook up the power beyond without a load sense(LS) signal, then the hydraulic device operating on the power beyond is UNABLE to send it's load sense signal.  So, if you hook up power beyond without LS, there needs to always be another device driving the pump to the same or higher pressure than the power beyond device needs, or that device will starve for oil flow.

Hydraulics is not my forte, perhaps someone else can explain it better, or catch an error if I have made one.
