Of that $20,000 roughly 1/3 of that goes to fuel, another 1/3 to pay the driver, and the last third to pay for truck expenses. So you have about $6500 to actually put towards a truck which any trucker can tell you won't even cover a set of tires on the tractor and trailer anymore. Even if you lump 4 years together for a $26000 truck you can still sink $6500 into repairs and not be done yet. We haven't even started on license, insurance and trailer yet. Stick with what you are doing or sell a tandem or two to cover a semi.
