So you're saying you think those with lesser risks should subsidize those that think it's fun to jump out of perfectly good planes or those that choose to smoke, or that young idealist that thinks they need to live in the worst part of Chicago?
What does skydiving have to do with health insurance? If you are a skydiver, chances are you are healthier than 90% of the US population, so your health insurance should be cheaper. If your chute doesn't open, there will be a funeral. Now life insurance......yes they do ask on life insurance policies if you participate in certain activities. I have to pay a higher premium because of this.
Smoking and obesity should, without a doubt, require higher premiums. Unfortunately, those of us living a healthy life style subsidize those who eat McDonalds. |
