The countertop is quartz.  Sorry, we are beyond child bearing age (notice I said WE and not my wife, I learned my lesson there :)

Funny you mentioned the floor.  It is keeping us at night!  That is a floating bamboo floor from Lumber Liquidators.  First, I did NOT want floating but everybody said it will be fine.  This floor is gapping and shrinking something fierce!!!  Our contractor is, and us, are beside himself trying to figure it all out.  From some intense researchign on line it appears we aren't alone.  This bamboo apparently is poor quality and moisture issues reek havoc on it.  We are going to try one more fix on the problems and if that don't work it is out of here!!!!  We have well over $5,000 in the floor and from what I've read from other online, I won't get anywhere with LL to get any money back.  A painful and expensive lesson to be sure!!!!
