Subject: RE: Largest farmland owners in US?

Alpha, MN
The Dalrymple Farm in Casselton, ND at one time was the largest Bonanza Farm in the Valley. It used to be the former Cass-Cheney Farm before it was bought out and the current governor of the state of ND owns it (Jack Dalrymple). My family had ground cut out of the Silvan Farm 30 miles east of Fargo, ND up in the morains and that was close to 10k acres around 1900. Most of those farms went belly up between 1919 and 1925 because of a huge drop in the wheat market as those farms were cash crop wheat farms that were not diversified.
