I know there are a few farmers in the RRV of ND/MN that own 10,000+ acres, some with no debt (!!).

There are plenty of 10k+ landowners in the wheat growing areas of the country. Heck some farms in areas like West River, SD probably own 25k+. Including pasture land, you start to get to 100k or more.

Are there any owners of 20k+ acres in the heart of the corn belt?

I know nothing about them, but had neighbors who used to buy used equipment from Norris Farms in illinois in the 60's. I think they're still in operation, and thinking they were over maybe 20K acres?

King was mentioned, I've been there. I've also been on the Parker Ranch. Can't recall which was which now, but one claimed more cattle, one claimed my land. Parkers sold a whole wad of waterfront property just before we were there 20 yrs ago- it wouldn't grow grass so it wasn't needed. And, they still owned a LOT of land.
