Subject: RE: Spreading your own Dry fertilizer?

I have come to the conclusion that most applications spraying, fertilizer application can be done by yourself for less money. I rent a fertilizer spreader at our co op I can rent it for 30 bucks plus get the fertilizer. Fs will apply for ya its 10-15 an acre plus fertilizer. I purchased a prayer this year with the money I would have spent on application fees and paid for it in 1 year! Plus the chemicals are cheaper when you buy them to put in your sprayer. It's a no brainier in my eyes. I can't see how you couldn't pay for one in at least 3 years at least a used machine . 100 dollar an hour jobs ! I can do it when I want where I want and exactly how I want !
