Buster 50 - 1/26/2015 19:49 I have never used my i6 for music, but just checked and found U2. Could the cloud be infected?

It was actually a free promotion from Apple when they upgraded the operating system last fall (timing is fuzzy in my mind). Apple made a deal with U2 to give songs away for free, and then put them into everyone's accounts.

From all the bad reaction I've read about, Apple botched that one. Remember the 1984 Apple Superbowl commercial? I'd say Apple is now Big Brother. What a role reversal!

Exactly, I like.

In the computer world, Microsoft used to be the open, changeable, do anything you want operating system. Worked on many different machines, manufacturers.

Apple has always been the control Greeks, only do things their way.

That commercial was so ironic, as it is entirely backwards.

Dji has a new drone out, it is grounded at the moment for Apple users. Part of the problem is dji tried to offer the iOS app directly from their own web site. Now Apple and Dji are in a bit of a tussle.....

A double edged sword, if Apple retains control of all apps they have a better handle on piracy, conflicts, viruses. But, they also have total control, and total control never really ends well does it?

Back in the 1980s Atari wanted to keep total control of their game systems, not allow other companies to make cartridges that worked in the Atari game console. That was thrown out in court, anyone could make a game that worked and Atari couldn't stop it.

Apple musta got better lawyers, not always better innovation.
