W.C. Mo. | 61 here. Was on lisinopril--closely related to your drug. Started an incessant coughing in November-could not get it to stop except for constantly sucking on mentholated cough drops--15-20 of those dam things a day can really mess with your gut. Cough syrup with codine(sp) would not stop the coughing. Cough turned into flu between Christmas and new years- spent New Years day in the hospital. Cough continued through the flu and it then turned into pneumonia. They took me off lisinopril the first part of January and been on high antibiotic levels since. Cough is slowly subsiding the past day or two- only a couple bad spells/day. They put me on carvedilol in early Jan. Can't do much of anything now due to weakness and light headedness. Never been this sick for such a long time.
What I am saying is DO NOT WAIT to see if it goes away. Drs now tell me if I am lucky I MAY be feeling better in 4 weeks. | |
