Depending on the wrap you use, 4-6 wraps on stalks, minimum of 2-3 on hay. We use a heavier wrap and I'll put 2 wraps on bales we'll feed relatively quick, 2.5 on bales that are going in the shed right away, and 3 on anything I think will sit out for awhile. We get by with 4 wraps on stalks (in a pinch have used 2.5) but some will put on 6.
