Do what Pat says. Had a 96-98 style ignition system burn a hole in the rotor and cause a no spark situation. Half the guys at the parts house had never heard of that happening, used to be real common in the 70's and 80's. Like Pat said, if you have spark coming out of the coil replace the cap and rotor, don't look at them, you can't see if they are good or not. Replace them.
