NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | Chuck, I was visiting with my feed man yesterday about his turkey cooking last week. First off this guy loves Thanksgiving, it's his favorite season of the year. He has always cooked the turkey for his family and this year was no exception. Only this year he did two turkeys, one a traditional way and the other he went on line and got a brine recipe and let it soak for two days. He said the brined turkey the family just went crazy over it. It was the first to disappear. He said next year he wanted to try and smoke one that has been brined. I told him about your smoking experience this year. I'm going to try a brined turkey next year with my smoker. My wife wants me to try it for just us first. She must not have any faith in me :-(. | |
