It was a good Thanksgiving day. The turkey turned out good.
If i do it again I will either brine or buy an injected bird. This one was both injected and we brined it.
It seemed to be a little to juicy and flavored like brine, I couldn't taste the smokey flavor I was looking for.
It was very good and I was complimented on it, but I think it could have been better.
Next time I will hold the heat down a little so it takes longer to cook. It went on a 6:15 and came off at 9:45 and was done. I just cut it and put it in the crock pot to keep it warm.
I sure wouldn't be afraid to do another.
