Wouldn't a consistent cow guy want to build a herd of good young cows and focus on that-it doesn't take anymore feed to feed a good young cow
Cull cows need to be locked up and fed a finishing ration.
Could have walked your profit away ?
Why feed a young cow? They need to work for themselves and maybe supplemented a little after grain is picked up while on stalks.
Feeding culls and running cows to different things........ As with anything in cattle business there is two ways to skin a cat
