We had a 2 post drive over lift. It was raised with a cable and had a built in speed jack to power the elevator. Dad mounted a 9 horse b&s engine on it.


We had one just like you described too. Ours was belt driven by our Oliver 66. Dad had an old 1 X 6 bolted on to the hydraulic lever on the lift so he could raise the wagon from behind (not sure if that was standard). My brother, age 3, was playing with the cable and got his mitten caught in it and lost 2 fingers. OSHA would have required a few more shields.
