We raised Pioneer Seed corn for 25years + in the 60s and never planted above 18,000 population in 38in rows and raised 140BPA corn tops basically before nitrogen as we rotated.Now we plant 36K have top fertility and weather is still the biggest factor.This year we have had too much rain but corn is good beans are average.
