I agree. Sounds like you need to move the auger either up or down. Our 3000 doesn't throw any ears from the auger. I have played with the up and down position some. Seems like down too far and it doesn't move stalks in fast enough. Move it up too far and the ears seemed to be wedging underneath stopping the auger. It's a 6 row and I wish the auger had more capacity but it's a nice head.
