north-central Indiana west of Fulton | The beef experts may give you better recommendations, but I always thought a building similar to our free stall barn with open pens would work good for beef, especially in bad weather. Rain can really blow in from the sides during a storm when curtains are open (upper and lower curtains). So if building was narrow, lots of wet bedding, but the feed stays dry at least . Took these 2 pictures tonight when I shut the cows in to give a couple angles . Dimensions of this are 104' wide with 18' door with a 20' ally through the center. Other doors are 14' and 11'. Can get by with narrower center , but we have the smallest Tmr and think you don't want to go narrower.
