no welfare payments on this farm!!!!!!!! | i do seed it early, I am trying to figure out how to extend the growing season and get more production. it seems like the first time lettuce gets above 85 degrees with no shade, then it shoots to the sky and your done. I am trying to push nothing but anions after ma15th to keep it growing. ask me in 5 years if it works, i think it really helped this year. also doing everything i can with iron and other heat absorbing elelments to keep the plant cool. nothing beats a 13% brix lettuce salad picked fresh after a hot day. now i am hungry again
