John Deere is not trying to own up the entire industry, they are trying to give you choices. If you would like to use another service provider thats more than fine. If you want to do it all in one shot, that's fine too. The industry is changing and many customers prefer to keep things with one company so that when they have issues they can contact a dealer rather than a call center in bangladesh. Simply put, it's your choice.

So far I haven't come across an ag company that has a call center in Bangladesh, (although CNH customers here in the UK have a Belgian Call center for yield mapping support, so it's getting close!) here in the UK JD aren't exactly being open with the information. It's still not possible to import JD yield data into Agleaders SMS software or Farmworks, there is a lock built in that picks up on the lat & long of the logged information & prevents the data being imported. |
