Subject: RE: John Deere Aerial Imagery

That may be so but, John Deere is involved with it and I don't want that company or any other like it to assist with any sort of agronomics and related IT. The next thing you know equipment mfg's will want to tie those services to equipment sales, get involved with and try to optimize farm planning and decision making to maximize return while using those techniques to gain an intimate understanding of the management of the farms they deal with and ultimately tie commodity end users and a specific breand and type of machinery together. It has been tried before and I see no value with having input suppliers, end users and farm machinery manufacturers in any sort of relationship. It's bad news!
