West Central, WI | Here in western Wisconsin (last year) I spread 60% urea and 40% slow release nitrogen the night before a good rain. The key is to do it before a good rain. Washes the dust off the leaves and works the straight urea in. I seen the slow release nitrogen was still on the top because of the coated shell on the urea. You can cover a lot of acres with a spreader once you get the hang of it. You have to look at the long forecast and make your plans. I think I called the coop everyday for 5 days telling them I needed the spreader that Friday. Worked last year.. | |
