I've been an IH man all my life (62yrs), IMO the 66 /86 series were the worst tractors IH ever made. 86 series a little worse than the 66 series. Unless you buy a "Tri-stripe" it's going to have open center hyds, they ride rough, door opens backwards & you fall over the gear shift getting in & out, weak rear ends and they have the infamous TA, nice IF it works, and expense to replace when it doesn't. They did have a great motor. I owned two 1066s, a 1086, & a 1486. Damn things darn near broke me before I could get rid of them.
