WC Indiana | I understand your excitement about your own opportunity. Keep in mind that if this is 100 bushel land and you budget $5.50 a bushel and operating expenses are $550/acre (which is where I am at) there is nothing left for rent. The profit in farming is usually what you can make over 140 bushel or so. Makes it tough on these type of farms.
Good luck, it would be nice if they could throw in some good ground to average it out.
