Martinsville, Ohio | Because I wouldn't, is that good enough? We used to sow Timothy with wheat and some years the Timothy was better and some years the wheat was. You can do whatever is best for you, but I wouldn't do that if I wanted barley for feed or grain. Green chop, maybe the more the merrier but I would be raising it for the grain.
It doesn't compete with wheat or corn economically here but it's fun to raise. It sure feeds well.
