West Tennessee | My deal wasn't as bad as yours but I crushed my left knee in 2005 when I fell off of some steps. Spent 5 days in the hospital and basically 3 months getting back to walking. I tell people that it changed me in a lot of positive ways but don't wish to experience it again. The list of things I learned, that I probably never would have, is VERY long. The mental part is definitely the hardest because you don't feel able to control so many things. Every day is a new day and so you have to concentrate on getting through each day, then week, etc. It's easy for anyone including you to say that you are lucky but proving that to yourself can be hard to accomplish. Wishing you the best in your recovery. | |
