N.E. MO | Been trying to keep my chin up after my 4-wheeler crash, but not being able to work for the last 11 weeks, with several more to come, are starting to take a toll. Just reluctantly sold my '96 and '97 John Deere pewter ornaments on e-bay. I have (had) the entire series, as my folks give me one each year for Christmas. I guess I always figure you hang on to things of value for a rainy day, and I think it's here for me. Also sold my favorite Beretta o/u 12 gauge and my Sig .45 this week. Hopefully be able to put some food on the table and have a little bit of Christmas for my three boys before all the medical bills pile up (no insurance). Sorry to vent. I know I have it way better than a lot of folks, and I'm thankful to God everyday for what I've been blessed with. The same wreck could happen 10 more times, and 9 of them I would be dead. Also thankful that one of my boys or my wife wasn't with me when it happened. | |
