Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | Sorry to hear that. I've been there. I was married less than a year, had just bought a farm when I was in a bad wreck. Spent three months in the hospital, then got home and didn't know what to do or how I was going to provide for my family. Lot of support from the community, but I still sold some guns and other stuff to pay bills. I was real close to selling my farm. Luckily a good friend of mine (and former employer) bought me a new tractor when I was still in the hospital for me to start raking hay with that summer. I honestly am not sure I'd have been able to mentally keep it all together if he hadn't have got me back to work.
Looking back on it, stuff is just stuff. Your still there to be a dad, which is the most important job ever. Don't worry about stuff, you can always buy it back later. | |
