When the wife had the vet worked the calves, the bulls were banded plus given a blackleg with tetnus. About every 3 years, when the cows are worked, they are given a booster with the blackleg w/tetnus. We had a cow die from tetnus after she calved about 15 years ago so that is why we give the tetnus shot to everything. We also take off the horns if any.
