Marion,ks | We got some pairs from Mark in August, calves were from150 to 350. Two days later, the vet and the wife gave the calves inforce, vitacharge and zantran if they were running a fever. Wife retreated one 3 days later. Week after that we put them on corn stalks for 45 days. When we brought them home to move them to another corn stalk field, wife took them into the vet. They gave them Bovishield5, poured, implant and one shot. We will bring them home in about 4 days. We will work the ones that have not been worked and will booster the ones that have. We will take the bullls off then also and give the heifers a lute shot. Around end of March first of April will give heifers another lute shot plus booster them again plus give them a pinkeye shot. We will sell them around 20 of April,probably aveg around 700. Wife gets a vet cert. and the buyers buy accordingly. Probably have some that will weight around 550 (ones that were born in end of Oct.) People love them for grass cattle. Mark, the ones we bought from Jerry look real good. | |
