Subject: Re: Machine shed sliding door, center stabilizer

I have two of those shed doors with the T bracket. Its always a pain because the door and it have to align within less than 1/2" vertically and the post moves more than that with frost. In a lumber yard in NW Minnesota I found a center guide that is two pieces so it can be adjusted for the thickness of the door bottoms and doesn't slide the T in the slot. Its made of 1/4" steel and shaped so it tosses the blade or bucket up rather than let them hook on and rip it out. I haven't yet put it on either door and grumble about having to lift doors to get on the T each time I close them even though I've tightened up the roller bolts up top to the point that the gap is closed at the bottom and open at the top. I need to do more tightening its clear.

Google turned up a prior discussion on this forum:
http://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=23642 That concrete shape isn't bad, but I like the steel one I found better, but I haven't found it on line and I don't remember who made it.

http://www.rwhardware.com/HardwareCatalog.pdf has every other bit of door hardware but a good center guide.
