mid minnesota | As some of you know my son started his own dairy side of the farm this fall, he is buying all his feed (corn, corn silage from our farm which we work togehter on ) But all hay and straw and mixed feed he buys, Yes hay is pricey but with land rent and inputs to put up real good hay,I think buy it then you know what you have with not much risk and investment.We looked at some 4th crop alafala thought NICE HAY cows looked at it a turned their head up like WTH ,it was baled 3 weeks when we picked up an test baleto see if they liked it | |
