Wording in contracts can really going against you when the person writing the contract
is the person doing the work. I learned my lesson many years ago on a big cover-all
shed that didn't make 6 months. The quote showed great details on the piles, but contract
only listed on piles. The 20"x 8' piles came out to be 12"x6' on a 70x100 building.
When I complained, he said nothing in contract, you prove they are to small. The wind
proved the point, he didn't have any money and no insurance so law suit when nowhere.
thankfully my company came good because I had my "i's" dotted and "t's" crossed as to wind
damage in my insurance policy. This was also a costly lesson for insurance company.
At the time cover-all was only hoop building they would give wind coverage.
