| We had roof replaced 2 years ago. Roof leaked clear through the bathroom hallway sheetrock, but we could not get anyone to even come out and give us an estimate because a tornado had gone through our area and all the good roofers were extremely busy with insurance jobs. Ours was not an insurance job. We started calling around in early summer. The only place that even bothered to call us back and give us an estimate got the job. They ended up coming out in late January to replace entire house roof. Snow and cold all around. I don't know why but they killed our shrubbery in front of the house. Just cut them right down to the ground. Good thing we didn't really like them anyhow but the gall! Of course we paid them 75% up front. We did pay them the balance at completion. Of course we couldn't check if it still leaked because it was January. It was April or May before we could verify that the roof didn't still leak. Of course it did!! We called them back several times but they never responded. We were disgusted. SIL fixed the leak. It was not exactly shingle-related (joist related) but the house did need new shingles. I guess we just thought you spend all that money and to still have a leaky roof, and they never returned our calls once they cashed the check. | |
