Computer people are working hard on getting these parts programs, that actually pull the machine/engine apart(photo wise) as you point at the general location of what you are looking for.

Say a combine (model and serial number entered already), is in the photo(on computer screen), just point to the area, and the sheet metal comes off, then the braces, then the drive belts or chains, then the pulley/sprocket, then the keyway and the shaft and its bearing.

If you go too deep, then just pull back, and the program starts reassembly, of the machine or engine.

Oh. They can twist the photo and invert it, too. Look at it from the top or bottom, also.

I only assume, this is for companies to be able to hire less, experienced people behind the parts counter.(auto, ag, industrial, marine, etc.)

They say they are working on that, I've heard that line, too. it hasn't happened for the machines I sell parts for. And you can be damned certain nobody will be re-issuing parts catalogs in that format for anything that has already been released. Some of the worst parts cataloging in the history of mechanization was done by Fiat engineers for the CNH system between 2000 and 2010.
