It is 2wd.
If I take the water out of the tires and add 3 sets of weights (the max) I would be back at the same weight I'm at now. I'm pretty sure the tires are bias ply.
I can remove the loader (it's a mid mount), but would probably only loose 200-300# off the front tires, because the frame would stay on the tractor.
