| Can you get the HD to mount? If so, you should be able to browse it and access your files without the Freeagent software. I'm pretty sure all it is is a syncing app. If you can get that far, my next step would be to find a syncing app that is compatible with Vista & 7. Maybe they come with something? If not, I'd bet there are free programs out there that would do the trick.
I have two Seagate externals that I am having excellent luck with so far. Both came with their software, but I erased it and use my Mac's built-in Time Machine feature. | |
