PUSHCAT

I would just like to add to this convo about "nimnut"(s) that the person you specifically addressed and his idiot friends got togeather and completed 4 defunct no operating Caterpillars 60's and a Russel 60 pto elevating grader on a single farm within 3 months of weekends for a local show which was featuring Caterpillar equipment. All this they completed paying for their own gas for transportation and materials to remake or rebuild these 5 peices of equipment. I should say one was actually semi operable, It was running when it was parked in front of the barn about 45 years ago. The other machines were short peices of the top ends, open to the weather, some had worn out steering clutchs etc. The targets of your rant for no profit of their own home made copper head gaskets, pushrod tubes, retrieved rear end parts, adjusted clutches, made 40 wooden rollers and acquired a 30 inch x 50 ft rubber belt for the grader. ....... this all sounds great.... oh did I mention that STEVE was the Chairman of the rebuild team? This didnt mean he told people what to do, no he was actually out scouring the 4 corners of Caterpillar 60 land for parts, retreiving them and assybling them into 4 full working cat 60's all to make an old man smile with all his pride while equipment he had collected over 55 years was restored to running condition.

You make it hard to believe you have an independent view in this fight since you signed into agtalk just to post on this article which you say you are so tired of reading about. The amount of money donated to run the spring fling goes largely unnoticed by most involved except those who have sponsored it before. Your entitled to your opinion, we are entitled to ours. In Steves defence, he did contemplate long and hard about driving to Illinois to look at this machine, he didnt just sneeze and send them a $16000 check without thinking about it, but they do appear to have a large website of machinery and usually dealers are concerned about continueing to be able to sell machinery by word of mouth and accuracy of descriptions......
