My prayers are with you and your family. My father past away last year with Alzheimers he was only 62. He fought it for the last 4 years and continued to get worse all the long. Dad was using Aricept for about two years and he finally said it was'nt helping and quit taking it and we never could tell any different. I know we all want to stop this I am not sure that there is any help yet as bad as it sounds. Life is not always fair but I do know he is in a much better place and those things he did and said in those last few years were really not my Dad at all. Once again my prayers are with you and yours.
