NW Indiana
Great article. I will add from first hand experience last year that May/June was bad. July had some timely rains but still dry. Early August around the 6th received 5 inches that came nice. Had a few other showers but by late August things were already hurting again. A rain about sept 1 probably would have added 10 bu on the beans that never came. Either its going to take consistent rains like a pivot or alot to recharge the subsoil in those really dry areas.
