SE MN
I can't speak for any area other than my own.

This moisture will not soak in more than 6" to the soil and will be gone quickly. We will need multiple inches of rain, not snow, hopefully over a couple week period, in order to see anything that will help our crop for 2024. Now I am not saying that we can't have a good crop without that, but the little bit of moisture we received from this will be gone with a few warm and windy days. There might be enough to germinate corn, but that is about it. Without several inches of rain we will need to have very timely rains starting in May and going all the way through August. We had less than 3" from Mother's Day to Labor Day last year. And I felt like we were lucky as I know several who had less than that.
