Actually they are. Solar generation can be cheaper than buying energy from the market in some cases. Now....we can go into why the market for energy is so high....shutting down perfectly good and clean air power plants because of unproven science....but for an entity needing electricity, solar can be cheaper even without direct government subsidy.
