not sure but my brillion with coated seed is about 18 pounds all the way open. which is plenty enough seed. 25-30 pounds sounds like a big waste of seed to me. I have been told 18 is too much seed. also you need to use the small box for alfalfa. it will just run out of the large box sitting still.


My thoughts as well. 18 lbs. an acre is plenty if conditions are right. 25 to 30 lbs is going to be mighty expensive, and is not necessary.

With untreated seed they used to say 12 to 15 lbs. an acre was adequate if conditions were right.
