| Renewable diesel will replace all diesels in the northern environments due to its -40 degree cloud point and lack of a need for winter additives. Most of the plants are in the snow belt for a reason. Throw in the fact that large users like mining companies or large trucking fleets will get huge carbon credits and its an easy win in the midwest. Renewable diesel will actual remove more carbon than it takes to make. No till soybeans without fertilizer will be the preferred feedstock and that's easily done in Nebraska and iowa. The N, P, S and K can be spread ahead of corn in a rotation. | |
