Reading some of my banter on here lately! Lol. I’m glad someone else is on my side of thinking. This crop can be big, but it can be smaller too as it’s still early. Yes, with a good looking crop, it means we have the potential out there; however, it’s just that at this moment, potential. There is a reason NASS said last year crop conditions reports aren’t linkable to yields, especially early.

None the less, the seed companies told me the difference from average to large kernels is roughly up to 20bu. As of the report yesterday, the cornbelt is 17% silking, kernel size isn’t even considered right now. This graph shows who will be doing a bit of kernel fill in the heat of July that normally isn’t this early.
